Painted Bodies by ~haibishonen:iconhaibishonen:

We brought the moon to bear,
In our ever-shining eyes,
The beauty of our Earth,
Our little thing, just floating.

Then we looked to the forests
To see if we could taste them,
We hoped for so much
I like to think we got something.

An then in the end, the grassy fields,
We loved them too.
I don't know why we ever left
Our painted bodies sleep.

I wrote this stream of consciousness, I haven't figured out what it means yet. I like it ever so, though.
After I wrote this, I went on a long drive to visit my brother. I thought about what his life might be like in the morning. I thought: "He wakes up and leaves with dirt still in his eyes. He walks along the pre-dawn earth beneath a mercurial morning sky. Sleepily catching the sky-train, he tries not to fall asleep. He gets off the train, and can see pinkish clouds in the sky. He has arrived at work."
On the way home, it was so dark out. I remembered something from so far in the past it was only a glimmer. I was standing in a dark dark road, with bare leafless trees lining it. Beyond the trees were farmland. There was one lamp... I could see how tall the trees were, and there were silhouettes of more trees behind them. It was very scary but awing. These are the memories I hold tight to in my heart. These are the images that I dream.
This was half artist's comment, half journal. c: oh well.
